On arrival into Melbourne, visitors can catch a Skybus Super Shuttle that operates a 24 hour, 7 days a week express service between the Melbourne Airport at Tullamarine and the Melbourne CBD at Southern Cross Station (Spencer Street)

It is a fast and affordable transfer option for Melbourne holiday makers, taking just 20 minutes for the journey. Buses depart every 10 - 15 minutes between 6am and 9.30pm and at 30 minute and 60 minute intervals at other times.

An alternative is to pre-book airport transfers that operate between the domestic and international terminals, the CBD terminal at Southern Cross Station and also door-to-door to all the major hotels throughout central Melbourne.

Melbourne is an easy city to explore. It has an excellent network of trams, buses and trains that cover the whole metropolitan area and beyond. Timetables, route maps and fares are available via the Metlink website.

  • Luna Park, St Kilda - Take a tram or bus to this Melbourne landmark which offers entertainment for all ages.

  • Melbourne Cricket Ground (M.C.G.) - Trains and trams deliver patrons to the country's biggest and most popular sports and events stadium.

  • Melbourne Zoo, Parkville - These zoological gardens feature hundreds of Australian and international species in natural settings.

  • Puffing Billy, Belgrave - Ride Australia's century-old steam train on its journeys through the Dandenong Ranges. Catch a bus or train to Belgrave.

  • Royal Botanical Gardens - Enjoy this relaxing landmark that hosts some of the world's rare plant life. Buses and trams pass the gardens daily.

  • Victorian Arts Centre, Southbank - Trams and buses pass this focal point of the Melbourne arts district, home of the Australian Ballet, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and the Melbourne Theatre Company.

Melbourne and the surrounding areas is served by an excellent network of freeways and arterial roads. A Melbourne rental car is an great way of seeing the best of everything that Melbourne has to offer.
